My Laptops
I own 3 laptops, all of them Thinkpads.
Using a DOE-provided Chromebook in high school was so annoying I forked over my own cash to buy...
T480
It came with 8GB of RAM that I bumped up to 24 and it served me well through the second half of high school, though the battery life got bad towards the end. Sitting around my dorm unused all year after I got my RPI laptop killed the batteries (internal and external, hot-swappable baby) and now it refuses to hold a charge.
At some point during my junior year I once again got Thinkpad fever so I impulse-bought...
X250
It had a few cracks in the palmrest, and the screen was kinda crappy, and it sounded like a jet engine with more than 5 tabs open, and it didn't have HDMI (only VGA/mini-DP) so I couldn't use it for presentations, but it was like $50 total so I can't really complain. It was also a really good sticker dump, since I didn't want to clog my "flagship" laptop. When I left for school I lent it to my mom so she could study for a test before she got her own laptop. Using it over the summer break has been really fun, the batteries are still in decent shape despite being older than the T480. It's a good streaming screen when I'm on calls on my main laptop.
RPI offers a "Mobile Computing Program" where they pretty much buy laptops directly from Lenovo with a 4 year logo and engraving. I needed a new one for school so we got...
T16 Gen 4
By far the largest laptop I've ever owned, it came with 32GB of RAM, a 1TB SSD, a really good touchscreen, and a light-up keyboard (that I'm currently using to type this). It can handle my engineering programs (so far Civil 3D) and some light gaming. It's a very nice laptop and I hope it lasts past my 4 years of college (with all the stickers).
